Search Images With a Single Click (Optimized Version) 1.0

"Search Images With a Single Click (Optimized Version)" is an addon to make searching for images easier. It can be found here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11881

How many times when you were reading a webpage, you saw a name on it and wanted to know how does that person looked like? Then you would select the name, copy it, go to Goggle, click "search images", paste the text, click "start search"... it's too annoying!

So I started using an addon called "Search Images With a Single Click". It worked ok, but the source code was a mess, it took something like 10 seconds to start searching. After using it for about one year, I got tired of my laziness and decided to fix it myself.

The result is "Search Images With a Single Click (Optimized Version)".

Below is the long description found at the mozilla download site.

"Search Images With a Single Click (Optimized Version)" is an addon heavily based on the existent "Search Images With a Single Click" addon created by Liapis-Trubetskoi.

This addon can be found here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3029

I used it for about one year, but it always bothered me making me wait for something like 10 to 20 seconds every time I made a search. I decided to rewrite the core of the code to make it work right.

Now it's lightning fast :-)

One Click 2 Google Maps 1.0.1

"One Click 2 Google Maps" was my first Firefox addon. I always found it really annoying to have to copy an address, open the GMaps page, paste the address... So I decided to take the responsability to myself and the result is this little piece of code.

Below is the long description found at the mozilla download site.

"Open any address on Google Maps with a single click. Set your city, state and country as the default location to start the search, avoiding this way the problems related to others extensions that tries to facilitate the use of Google Maps within Firefox.

Updates first released at http://take4free.blogspot.com
Coming up next: a box at the status bar where it'll be possible to enter an address which will be open on GMaps automatically.

v1.0.0: en-US, pt-BR supported

If you reeeeealy liked this addon and want to contribute with a translation to your language, hit me up at lucas.collovini@gmail.com

Thanks to Nickolay Ponomarev (for his "helloworld" extension) and Dan Hanan for the "unwraptext" extension (from which the idea to this project started)."

You can download the addon here:

Starting the blog today

Hi everybody.

I've just created this blog as a way to publish my little contributions to the Firefox community.
I have two small addons for Firefox that change the way people can interact with some Google webservices: "OneClick2GoogleMaps" and "Search Images With a Single Click (Optimized Version)".

Those where based on existing addons, but I believe I made some changes for the better, and I think that it would be a waste not to share it.

Sorry for the mispellings, but english is not my first language. I hope you enjoy my work in some way or another.
